Vegas Baby! WPPI Hits Vegas

Around 9000 photographers desend on the Vegas Strip!
The Paris Hotel was an excellent setting for the WPPI Tradeshow.

It was great to meet and speak with so many talented photographers from around the country and the world. WPPI has done it again with terrific speakers!

Malalai Joya Speaks in Los Angeles

Malalai Joya, a 27-year-old woman, who has emerged as a fearless critic of the warlords that control her country of Afghanistan.

"I hope by being a member of parliament I will be able to serve my people," said Malalai Joya, a 27-year-old woman who holds one of the five seats in Farah in the far west of the country. "I will do my best to stop the warlords and criminals from building any laws that will jeopardize the rights of Afghan people, especially the women." The Globe and Mail, Dec.20, 2005

Mammoth Mountain Ski Day

Took the weekend to do some traveling---first to Mammoth Mountain for some skiing, did I mention there was 2 feet of fresh. This mountain is one of the best ski areas you will find in the country! Then journeyed north to Tahoe to surprise my brother on his birthday!

Amgen Tour of California: Final Leg

The Amgen Tour of California rolled through Redondo Beach today and what a treat. The colorful bikers did 10 laps around the Redondo Circut. Floyd Golden was the Tour Winner!
